The Saturn Standpipe cover incorporates the same seal used on Saturn’s first generation coke oven door.

The lid is trunion mounted to the carrier bar and is mechanically latched in order to maintain proper sealing pressure. The lid and carrier bar are counter-weighted to allow manual opening with minimal effort.

Like the Saturn main door seal, the seal on the lid can easily be prepared and the leaf springs quickly replaced should they become damaged.

For most installations, a new sealing plate is provided which bolts or clamps to the existing standpipe. The Saturn Standpipe Lid is designed for ease of maintenance and operation as well as quick and simple installation making it the ideal solution for existing standpipe emission problems.
